Watefowl Journal Update
I want to apologize for my lack of updates to my journal this season. There just hasn’t been anything to write about. This season has proved dismal for me. I have not shot a bird since my last update.
I hunted 5 of the 8 days of my vacation with some great folks, yet we could not get any birds in the bag. We had a few chances and held off for a better shot, or just missed. The middle zone ends on Tuesday and I will not make another trip to the field before then. My Christmas weekend goose hunt near Kansas City was cancelled by the near blizzard conditions out there and has been rescheduled as a snow goose hunt at the end of February.
I will be making my annual January trip to Arkansas next weekend and really hope to maybe have something to write about. I am planning a goose hunt the 3rd weekend of January. I will update my journal if we have any success.
